Privacy
Privacy principles
Ripple of Kindness is designed to minimize the personal information published about children and families.
Public profiles: Use anonymous ROK identifiers and only general information needed to explain a wishlist.
Private records: Limit access to organizers who need the information to operate the program.
Payments: Use a third-party processor so payment-card details are not stored on this website.
Before launch: A final privacy policy should be reviewed once the exact forms, processor, analytics and data-retention practices are known.
Family nominations
Private by design.
Nomination submissions may include contact information and family circumstances needed for review. Ripple of Kindness does not intend to publish that identifying information. If a selected family later appears on the public site, the public profile should use an anonymous ROK reference number and limited non-identifying details.
Please do not submit: Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, medical records, full school records or other highly sensitive documents through website forms.
